Christian (General)
–> I’ve finally gotten around to reading “Who Move the Stone?”, by Frank Morison, and I’m really enjoying it. A refreshingly different book: looking at the evidence of the last two days (Thu/Fri) of Jesus’ life, and reconstructing the details of the people involved, where they were, what they did, the sort of human elements which would have played a part. After the burial, he looks more to the evidence and historicity of the resurrection over the Sat/Sun following Good Friday.
Interestingly, Morison went into the the project determined to examine the accounts of the resurrection and expose the fraud that he was certain that he’d find. Convinced in the end by the overwhelming evidence, he subtitled his resulting manuscript “The Book that Refused to be Written”.
Christian (General) / Literature
–> for an utterly beautiful book which will surely give you a fresh insight into the Christian faith and the nature of God, read “Mister God, This is Anna”, by Fynn. The author is actually Sydney Hopkins, but it was published under a pseudonym and tells its story from an autobiographical perspective.
A magnificent story unlike any other.
